Ep 6 WE'RE LIVE!
Hey there, podcast enthusiasts! Samuel (Sam) and Louis here, your friendly hosts from “Evolve,” the podcast where we dive deep into life’s ups and downs, one mic at a time. Today, we’re pulling back the curtain and sharing our rollercoaster ride from podcast launch to feedback frenzy. Buckle up, because it’s about to get real!
The Launch: Nerves, Excitement, and All the Feels
Remember that moment when you hit “publish” on your first episode? Yeah, we do too. It felt like launching a rocket into the podcast stratosphere. Excitement bubbled up, but so did the nerves. Would anyone listen? Would they like what they heard? We were like kids waiting for Christmas morning – equal parts anticipation and anxiety.
Feedback: The Good, the Bad, and the Constructive
Fast forward a few days, and our inboxes were flooded. Turns out, people do listen! Some praised our dulcet tones (thanks, Mum!), while others pointed out our “quirky” pronunciation of “aluminium.” (Hey, we’re British – we say it like we mean it!) But the real gold? Constructive feedback. It’s like finding a treasure chest buried in the podcasting sands. We learned to embrace it, tweak our format, and grow.
Staying Humble: The Art of Taking Feedback Gracefully
Sure, we could’ve pouted when someone said, “Your intro music is more annoying than a mosquito at a picnic.” But instead, we high-fived each other and changed the tune. Staying humble means knowing we’re not podcasting deities – just two blokes with a mic and a dream. So, thank you, dear listeners, for keeping us grounded.
Authenticity: The Secret Sauce
We’ve all heard those polished, rehearsed podcasts. You know, the ones where hosts sound like they’re reading a teleprompter. Not us. We’re all about authenticity. If we fumble a line, we own it. If we laugh-snort during an interview, well, that’s just part of our charm. Authenticity builds trust, and trust keeps you coming back for more.
Life’s Highs and Lows: Sharing the Real Stuff
Life isn’t all rainbows and unicorn memes. Sometimes it’s messy, like spilling coffee on your laptop during a live recording. Or realizing you forgot to press “record” for that epic guest interview. But hey, that’s life! We share the highs – like hitting 1,000 downloads – and the lows – like accidentally deleting our entire episode library. (Oops!)
Approachability: How We Roll
We love hearing from you, whether it’s a heartfelt email or a cheeky tweet. Seriously, hit us up! We’re not podcasting hermits hiding in a soundproof cave. We’re out here, sipping coffee, answering DMs, and occasionally tripping over our mic cables. So, slide into our virtual DMs, and let’s chat!
Balancing Act: Podcasting vs. Real Life
Podcasting is our passion, but it’s not our entire existence. Samuel’s an Entrepreneur, Doctoral candidate and Product Manger, priding himself on balancing 3 roles and excited to which one take him to the top. And Louis is now making a creative shift into Video Editing and formed his company XNDER Studios to pursue Editing in the Film Industry.. But hey, we’re up for the challenge.
So there you have it, folks! Our behind-the-scenes journey – unfiltered, unscripted, and unmistakably us. Thanks for tuning in, and remember: life’s better with a mic in hand and a cuppa by your side. Catch you on the airwaves!
